Annie is a pretty, athletic girl with beautiful dark-rimmed blue eyes. She is a super special girl who deserves an extra special forever home. Don’t let those giant ears fool you. Sweet Annie is mostly or completely deaf. Not that it holds her back. She jumps right in to play with all the other dogs.
But she will need patience and understanding as she learns hand signals to communicate. She already makes good eye contact and is very responsive to training. She’ll be a fast learner.
Annie is very busy and has high energy. She would do well with another dog to play with and cue her. Or someone very active who’ll get her out running. She did fantastic on our first trial run, but will definitely do better on trails or paths, as roadside makes her very uneasy. Annie loves to snuggle close and is pretty demanding of pets, but she is excellent in the crate when she needs to go in.

Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.
If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.
Annie’s adoption donation is $450 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and neuter depending on age at time of adoption. We do not have a physical shelter; all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada
