My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am the perfect snuggle companion, and I love people! I was born with deformed front legs so I walk more on my wrists, but it certainly doesn't stop me from climbing into your lap and into your heart or playing tug of war with toys. I'm curious, smart, friendly, happy, goofy, and like to lie on your feet. Kiddie-sized pools are my favorite way to cool off! I would love a home where I can lounge about chewing a toy and be the queen of the castle along with my best doggie pal, Captain Wigglesworth. We're an inseparable odd couple. Where I go, he goes. Even though I can be a little bossy with him and I get sassy with toys, he doesn't mind. He just does his own thing. I'm not potty trained yet, but I can learn.

Dog introductions are required because I can be selective on who I choose as a friend, which is why my bond with Wigs is so special. Contact Mayday today to meet me and my bestie and see how great we are together!

Jigs? Waney? Dude N' Tude? No matter what we title this dynamic duo, the key is that Janey and Wigs love being together and we can't bear to separate them. Janey's outgoing personality helps Wigs bridge the gap his shy demeanor can create with humans. And Wigs gives Janey the unfaltering love and companionship she craves, despite her bossy 'tude. They're both a little different and they embrace that, which is something we'd love to see more of in this world.

Check out my buddy's profile, Captain Wigglesworth, to find out more about him!

More about this rescue

Mayday Pit Bull Rescue & Advocacy is an established, entirely volunteer run, 501c3 nonprofit. We focus on dogs with extreme medical, behavioral and special needs.  We are devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating and securing placement for pit bull and pit bull mixes into responsible, permanent and loving homes. We partner with national animal welfare organizations to assist dogs from dog fighting, hoarding and other crisis/emergency situations.

We strive to educate the public about the pit bull breed in order to relieve suffering and prevent cruelty.

We advocate responsible pit bull ownership and educate the public about breed specific legislation.

Mayday Pit Bull Rescue & Advocacy is made up of a small group of volunteers based in Phoenix, Arizona, who are dedicated to improving the lives of pit bulls and re-establishing the breed as a beloved family pet.

We work directly with local Animal Care and Control shelters to rescue pit bulls from euthanasia with the goal of rehabilitation and permanent placement.
