My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED by Santa Cruz Realtor Loren Morse*

WEIGHT: ~45LBS.

This is Minnie. It's been two months since she's had an Adopter's Profile submitted.

TWO MONTHS.

We are hoping to soon shake loose a person or two who might be interested in giving this wonderful dog the opportunity to win their hearts.

Let's start out with the fact that Minnie is an absolute dream in the house. Potty-trained, calm and quiet, doesn't chew anything inappropriate, and doesn't mind being left alone. She's cuddly, affectionate, and loves toys.

Minnie is about 2-years-old and only 45 pounds. A perfect medium size that can be picked up if need be and fits nicely in the car, in the bed...in your lap. DNA tests revealed that she's a German Shepherd, Husky, Pittie mix. The smarts, loyalty, and obedience of the GSD shine through all day long. The desire to protect her home and person has also joined the chat on occasion, which is very GSD of her, and will be a blessing that requires some management.

The desire to protect her home and person has also joined the chat on occasion, which is very GSD of her, and will be a blessing that requires some management. We could imagine this coming in handy on the nights alone after watching too much true crime.

This sweet girl has made many dog friends and regularly goes on pack walks and hikes with dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds. She prefers a dog friend who isn't overly flirty and in her face and a thoughtful intro is important. She's currently living in a foster home with a dog and they coexist peacefully with no issues. That said, peace would not be found with cats.

There is much more to say about Miss Minnie but it's already getting too long, so give us a call or fill out an Adopter's Profile so we can really get into the nitty gritty to see if this gem of a dog could be a fit for you!

In response to COVID-19, and the current social distancing rules, all of our animals are now being housed in foster homes and our adoption procedures have changed. Please read the following ADOPTION STEPS on our website for further details!

**Please Note: Most of our adoptions are beginning with a foster-to-adopt period, and because of this, we are temporarily unable to consider applications from households outside the counties of: Santa Cruz, San Benito, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Monterey.

If you rent, please have a copy of your lease or a letter from your landlord that states you can have a pet(s) ready.
