Dad is a fox red lab; mom is a sled dog husky. Born end of January 2010. Kevin and sister Fro Fro are not at the shelter; they are staying on an acreage with their mother and other dogs, so if you need to meet them prior to any possible adoption we will need to make an appointment for viewing. Both pups have had 3 sets of shots.
BIO DETAILS:
Kevin is the runt of the litter. She is named after the animated movie "Up!". She is a real mama's girl. She is a lot calmer than her sister Frofro but when she wants to she can keep up with the bigger pups in playfulness and energy. Even though she is the runt, Kevin does not let her bigger siblings bully her, but if they try to take something from her, and if the thing doesn't mean much to her, she will give it up easily - she's not at all possessive. Her litter mates would eat all her food and she would let them because she doesn't seem possessive about food, so I began to feed her separately. She takes her time with the bowl of food but will finish it all if you give her the time. If she saw her litter mates stop eating, she would stop too even if she was even eating apart from them. She wouldn't start to eat again until I let her share with her siblings. This is a dog that cares more about others than herself. I have yet to find another like her.
Her granddad on her mom's side won the Iditarod Dogsled Race in Alaska as a main leader. Both grandparents on dad's side have won championships in the showring and bird hunting competitions.
Our dog adoption fee is $160 which includes spay/neuter, shot, rabies shot and microchip. With puppies that are not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption we also require a refundable spay/neuter deposit cheque of $300 (refundable after proof of surgery by an agreed upon date being presented to MLDHS).
