My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Joey (named after the famed Dawson's Creek Character). I am a female border collie x cattle dog/heeler puppy. My mama gave birth to me and my siblings in a Utah County shelter. Luckily she was pulled by Herding Haven rescue the day she delivered, so I was able to spend my infancy in a foster home. I am now ready to find my furever home! Maybe it's with you? Let me tell you a little bit about myself. Like the character I am named after, I am of bit of a tomboy. I was the smallest of the puppies but have the biggest personality. I love to mix it up with the big dogs in my foster home. I am active, playful, and very loyal to my person. I'm very smart and love to learn new things (especially if I get rewarded with treats!). I already know how to "sit" when you ask me to and I'm learning to walk on a leash. Small/young children make me nervous so a home without toddlers is a must. Older (> 12 yr) dog savvy kids would be OK. I am up-to-date on my vaccinations and will come with a spay discount. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact kathie@herdinghaven.org.
