“Find a penny, pick it up. All day long you’ll have good luck.” Our Penny girl has been waiting for someone to pick her up since 5/23/23. And since she’s always heads up she’s EXTRA lucky. She’s bound to bring you more than just a day’s worth of luck. Penny is a social butterfly. She loves to spend time with people. Whether you want to play or just relax and pet her – she can happily do either. She’s always such a happy girl who does her best to put a smile on the face of everyone she meets. She’s smart too! She’s mastered the command sit and will happily do so for a treat. She also loves to zoom around in our play yards and get rid of some energy. She`s done well meeting other dogs in shelter playgroups and pairs best with a dog that doesn`t mind her exuberant personality. She`s always ready to play!
“Encuentra un centavo, recógelo. Tendrás buena suerte durante todo el día”. Nuestra chica Penny ha estado esperando que alguien la recoja desde el 23/05/23. Y como ella siempre está mano a mano, tiene MUCHA suerte. Seguramente te traerá más que un día de suerte. Penny es una mariposa social. Le encanta pasar tiempo con la gente. Ya sea que quieras jugar o simplemente relajarte y acariciarla, ella puede hacer cualquiera de las dos cosas. Ella siempre es una chica muy feliz que hace todo lo posible para hacer sonreír a todos los que conoce. ¡Ella también es inteligente! Ella domina el comando sentarse y felizmente lo hará para darse un capricho. También le encanta pasear por nuestros patios de juegos y deshacerse de algo de energía. Le ha ido bien conociendo a otros perros en grupos de juego del refugio y se combina mejor con un perro al que no le importa su exuberante personalidad. ¡Ella siempre está lista para jugar!

Our regular adoption fee is $100 payable by money order or credit card. The fee covers basic vaccinations, Rabies vaccination, microchip, heart worm testing for dogs, and the spay/neuter surgery.
You will be required to sign to an adoption contract and other paperwork relating to the adoption of your new family member.

Our kennel hours are Monday-Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Wednesday also from 5 pm to 7 pm. We are open Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm and closed on Sunday.

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.
We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.
The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.
We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.
We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
