Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Peanut has been in foster for 8 months and desperately looking for his FUREVER home. He would be the perfect companion dog for someone that doesn't mind being loved on 24/7!!!! Peanut was born on 2/8/23 along with 3 sisters who were all black and smaller. The girls all adopted out in August but Peanut has been left behind.
Peanut is low shedding, short haired and is so handsome with his black snout and sweet brown eyes. He is 13lbs and should stay under 18lbs. He is a small toy, easy to scoop up and shower with kisses. A DNA test performed on Peanut says he primarily Chihuahua, then Rat Terrier as well as some poodle. He does stand on his back feet to beg like a circus dog💕
Peanut is trained to a puppy pad so if you are unable to go on walks, he will use a puppy pad. Peanut loves to snuggle and sleep by you. He also loves toys and playing fetch and chewing on edible Nylar puppy bones.
Peanut becomes very bonded to his person/family and protective of his home. He will growl or bark if he hears someone coming in your home. He loves children, tries to play with cats and other dogs.
Peanut just needs some leash training but is othwise the perfect small dog for a couple, shut-in or family.
He is almost 8 months old and is still waiting for someone to love him forever and will love you unconditionally🥰
At wags to riches, we pride ourselves on having the lowest prices of any rescue while doing the most for our dogs. Being a very small organization, we are a 2-woman show, have no overhead, and work hard to give our dogs the most loving home possible. Because we are so small with limited volunteers, we have to use an external transport company (if you don't want to drive to Alabama to get your dog( to transport the dog to Maryland/PA/VA area. He charges $150 per dog. This cost would be in addition to the adoption fee.
