My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Matty is a "Katrina Dog," rescued from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Like so many of the dogs rescued from New Orleans, Matty is a Pit Bull, but she is so friendly to other dogs as well as people that we think her sweet nature saved her from a horrendous life as a fighting dog. Instead, Matty was repeatedly bred to provide puppies for this cruel, inhumane and illegal "sport." Found tied up with wire, Matty was severely underweight when she was rescued, but she is gaining, and should reach a weight of about 35-40 lbs.
