Even though he's short in stature, he's got a really big personality! Meet Boots: a 7-month-old 29# german shepherd/husky mix who stands as tall as a corgi. He has two different-colored eyes and striking german shepherd features. He's still got some honkin' paws, so we think he'll fill out a bit more to fit them.
He's full of energy and loves to play with small plush squeaky toys--and will sit and gnaw on hooves, bones, and antlers like a good boy. He hasn't touched any of the furniture, but has been known to grab-and-dash the toddler hooman's toys.
He's great with respectful kids 8+, other dogs, and cats. He wants to pla especially with dogs his size, so it will be important that the other dogs and cats are willing to take his level of energy or tell him to back off (he takes the redirection very well). He’s hesitant around large dogs.
We're working on potty training, and he's been a bit stubborn but is responding to treats and lots of, "Good boy!" He's fully crate trained and even goes into it willingly for snack time and night-time sleeps. Boots requires a fenced in yard as he is not a good fit for an apartment situation. An active, dog experienced home would be best.
Overall, this is a very special and unique boy. He's a great mix who is eager for a home who will be patient with him and give him lots of pets, snacks, activity, and couch time. Great on a leash and is interested in leaving the house, running errands (he loves Home Depot!) and getting pup cups.
10 out of 10. Goodest boi.
