CHATO has been OVERLOOKED at the shelter. He’s been here for over 1-½ years. Volunteers don’t know why he hasn’t been adopted.

CHATO came into the shelter on Sept. 30, 2022 as an Owner Surrender .

Knows Sit Command & Takes Treats Gently
Good leash skills/Easy to Handle
Low to Medium Energy
Loves to Give Kisses
Loves to Roll Over & Around the Grass

CHATO participated in playgroup in March 2023. He did okay. Needs more experience with dogs & dog savvy person who can introduce dogs properly. Slow & proper intros with dogs & kids.

We are very thorough in our adoption process to ensure our dogs go into the very best homes. Beyond the above steps, we follow up with adopters at regular intervals to ensure the placement is successful and provide resources as needed.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in San Diego County, California assisting with dogs in Southern California. All of our pets are cared for by foster homes.

Mission: To assist in the rescue and rehabilitation of overlooked, neglected, and/or medically fragile shelter dogs in order to find them permanent placement in adoptive homes.
