Are you looking for a new member of your family who can learn and grow with you? Meet Skye, the young pup who is just coming out of her raptor phase, but that doesn't keep her from being a clever girl.
Skye is an 18-month puppy who got a bit of a rough start at life but has been given A New Hope. Could this be with you? Skye is in her zoomie era, with a ton of energy and a playful demeanor. She loves playing with her Foster siblings, both human and animal. Skye is extremely excitable and does need slow introductions so she doesn't overwhelm other dogs or cats, but she is done well with both in her foster home. Her ideal dog would probably be an older dog who knows, well how to dog and can show her when to play and when to be a lazy girl.
Skye is a fan of playing various games. She loves to snuffle through the grass to find treats and her foster siblings love hiding them in the grass for her. And she gets extremely excited about a flirt pole and loves to chase it like she's a giant cat.
While all work and no play makes some dull, Skye does like going to work. She likes to learn new things and figure out challenges. This also helps tire her out and gives her more time to bond with her favorite people (which she would gladly add you to that list). This doesn't need to be something that takes a lot of time. She's perfectly fine learning new things on her daily walk.
Worried about a new dog destroying your house? Skye is fully crate trained and has not shown destructive behaviors towards the house (though some children's toys previously had a different opinion she's learned those aren't hers). She can stay in her crate for 8 hours without problem once she's comfortable in the house. She also is fine if you work from home, and is fairly quiet unless someone knocks at the door, she likes to let people know she's there.
Skye has learned a few commands. The notable ones are: crate, sit, down, stay, wait. More impressively Skye has learned to sit without command if we stop on walks, she sometimes needs a reminder but who doesn't space out now and then.
She's a little rambunctious for young children but she does do extremely well with them when monitored. She currently has a 3.5-Year-Old and 1-year-old Foster human that she adores playing games with and getting treats from. Along with cleaning up the mess left behind from various meals and snacks (The first command she learned was clean up).
Skye is a lovable young dog that would love to be the newest Cuddle Bug in your house. She loves children of all ages, is slow with strangers but after a brief introduction loves most people, does well with other dogs and cats (with proper introduction) and doing physical activities with her people. From walking, playing games all the way to being your newest run partner or even roller skating Skye is here for an adventure so long as it's something that makes her people happy. If you're looking for someone to add to your family, Skye would love to ask for you to take a chance on her.
