Reddy is a very special boy. After his owner died, we found him hovering in a closet and sensed something wasn’t right. The eye specialist confirmed that he suffered from a luxating lens, cataracts, and glaucoma, the pressure from which was causing him pounding headaches. He was completely blind. Surgery was the only solution to easing the pain.
Well, Reddy recovered like a champ! Thanks to the patience and loving care of his foster mom, Marcia, and his whiskers, he navigates through her home with confidence and ease. If she pats on her chair or says, “Come,” he will come to her. He tilts his head and seems to look at her because of his enhanced hearing. Reddy never fails to find his food dish or his litter box.
So, if you are looking for a healthy, 12-year-old cat, with a rich orange-red coat, and an affectionate spirit, you’ve found him. The best home would be with someone experienced with blind cats and no other pets currently. However, you’ll be provided with training, and after two weeks in your loving home, you won’t even know he’s blind.
