My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We took this fluffy little fellow from another rescue that could no longer accommodate him. Oso is very touch sensitive, and we’re regularly working on that with our canine behaviorist. He gets along with some other dogs, preferring calm canine friends to more excited ones. He is currently afraid of cats.

So, all of that being said, Oso is a nice little guy. He just has a few quirks. Who doesn’t? Why not come out to meet him and see if you click?

My ideal home:
I need a calm, reassuring home!
I'm good with:
Some Other Dogs Men Women
I'm not good with:
Cats Young Children Older Children

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
