Libby was dropped off at a high-kill facility by the only family she knew after nine years as their faithful pet. Placed in a concrete cell with dozens of barking dogs all around her, she was marked for death by injection within just a few days.
Now in foster care, Libby has a sweet spirit and takes her time making friends. Once you earn her trust, she will be a sweet companion.
As she learns to walk on leash, she doesn’t jump on people or other animals. When she sees another dog in the neighborhood, she is curious and friendly. She tends to chase cats outdoors. Indoors, she tends to fixate and need consistent redirection. Her new people should not leave her alone with them. She has not been observed with children.
She is also house-broken, crate-tolerant and very good on car rides. She knows basic commands and is beginning to show interest in play as she decompresses.
