Aries is a 8-9-year-old, 80-pound American Bulldog/Boxer/Pit Bull mix. He is a gentle giant who is great with older kids and adults. He knows common commands and walks well on leash. He will need some ongoing training to prevent pulling on the leash towards wildlife such as squirrels, rabbits, or deer. He is very calm and checks in with his handler often.

What our volunteers say: “He is so kindhearted and considerate of people.” “One of the calmest dogs ever.” “Gentle giant is definitely the best way to describe this sweetie!” Aries would do best in a home without other dogs, cats, or young children. A meet and greet will be arranged with the pet's foster parent and your family.

Sign Adoption Contract

Pay Fee

6.
Take the Pet Home

After we receive your completed Adoption Agreement and you have paid your adoption fee, your new pet may go home with you.

A home visit will be coordinated within one week of adoption.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies pulls abandoned dogs and cats from shelters and places them in loving foster homes until their forever homes are found. Our philosophy is that each pet deserves a loving home and a long, healthy, happy life. We do everything in our power to ensure pets receive the training, veterinary care, and loving attention needed.

Our Cat Casita in Fairplay, CO houses adoptable cats in a cage-free cat "playroom" - visitors are welcome to stop by and meet our cats anytime during open hours. The Cat Casita is located downstairs at High Paw Pet Supply, 503 Hwy. 285, Fairplay, CO (719) 836-4909.

Our Just Cats "Cat Cottage" is located in Denver at 7150 Leetsdale Drive, Denver, 80224 where adoptable cats enjoy a cage-free adoption room. Call 720-235-2724.
