Have you met the super sweet Stella? You couldn't have, or she wouldn't still be here because you're going to love her! Stella's been waiting since December of last year for the perfect home, after this poor girl was abandoned on a busy highway on a cold day. Stella is about 5 1/2 years old now and she's the perfect family dog. Granted, she'd like to be the only dog if you don't mind, but she'll give you as much love as a dozen pets if you'll let her! She's very spunky, silly and playful, yet she's well-behaved, housebroken, and calm and mellow once she gets her jumpies out. Stella is a leaner and once she gets to know you, she bonds with you instantly. She'll lean against your legs to get your attention and practically fall over once you start petting her! She's such a good girl that is so deserving of a fresh start in life. Stella sure hopes you'll give her a chance! Call 609-693-1900 or email: office@ahsppz.org for an application. File#62286 12/11/22

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
