Meet Sweet Stella! Stella is a very sweet and good-natured girl who loves to play fetch and chase her toys. She loves everyone she meets and wants all the belly rubs you can give. She has even been on TV - watch her clip here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_w4mnv7rJWM
She is around 4 to 5 years old, 73 lbs, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. She loves to go for walks just as much as she loves taking naps on the couch or sprawled out in the sunshine! After a few ear rubs and pets she rolls over on her back for belly rubs for pretty much anyone. She is great at riding in the car and is able to jump into the back of an SUV on her own with no assistance. Stella is eager to meet all dogs (small and large) and people that come near her. Her tail will wag the whole time - no hesitation, no aggression.
She is definitely man’s best friend. In a temporary foster placement, it was noted that she gravitated to the father and son of the household, and not at all with the mother. Although she is fine with other dogs in social settings, once she is at home, she really wants to be the only animal. Definitely no cats for Stella.
Stella is a an all around great, loveable girl looking for a family to love. If your family needs a sweet and lovable house-hippo, Stella is your girl! Please complete an adoption application on our website and once approved, we can set up a meet and greet for you. Fenced yard required for this girl who loves to run and play! Applications here: https://www.lancasterspca.net/online-application

Adoption Application, Vet and Personal References, Home Visit, Fenced Yard (physical fence - not invisible fencing) required.
Adoption Process:
We do not operate a shelter. All animals are placed in foster homes until a permanent home is found. If you are interested in meeting one of our fur-babies, please complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.LancasterSPCA.net. Once approved, we will set up a meet and greet at a mutually agreeable time.
Please note that completion of our application does not guarantee adoption of a Lancaster SPCA animal. We reserve the right to refuse adoption for any reason.
Our rescue is an all volunteer organization. For each application we receive it takes time to review, contact all personal and veterinary references, and make a decision on approval. Depending upon volunteer availability, this can take several days to accomplish, especially when we receive a lot of applications or if we have difficulty reaching references. An approved application means that the applicant is approved to adopt a pet from our organization; it is not a guarantee that the applicant will be able to adopt the pet specified on the application. We often receive many applications at once so please don't be too disappointed if your application is approved but the pet you requested is no longer available. We strive to do our best, and always take the best interest of the pet into consideration.
