Rosie is a senior but so far her life has been anything but perfect. She is estimated to be 10+ years old. Rosie came into our rescue with a ragged coat, matted eyes and some pretty significant dental needs. She has not let that get her down in the least. She is still such a sweet and affectionate lady. She loves to follow her foster mom around the house and settle in for cuddles when anyone is sitting in one spot.
The ideal home for Rosie will be without small children or large dogs due to her delicate size.
Rosie is currently on a course of antibiotics and will be going in for a dental when they are complete. We anticipate that she will have some teeth removed as well as a cleaning. Even with her dental needs, she has no problem eating dry kibble and eats quite well! She should be able to gain the needed extra pound quite easily.
Rosie has a chronic dry eye issue that will require her to be on eye medication (likely for the remainder of her life) that must be administered 2x daily at a cost of approximately $30 a month. Rosie's eye sight has been compromised, likely as a result of this untreated condition and her advanced age, but she gets around very well. If you are interested in Rosie please be certain that you are able to accommodate this need both physically and financially.
Rosie still needs to be spayed and we will be scheduling that either in conjunction with her dental appointment or shortly after.
Rosie is special needs but she still deserves to live her best life and know that she will always be cared for and loved for the rest of her life.
