Meet Chowder!

Shepherd/PitBull Mix
Chowder is a sweet dog. He loves cuddles. He’ll come to you and lay his head on your lap to get snuggles. He loves walks and can sometimes pull hard when he sees another person or dog but gets better the more walks he has had. He is a bit leash reactive, but we're working with him on this.
He gets along with the cats, the small dogs, and the big dogs. He does not do well with leashed introductions because of his reactivity. So he needs slow controlled meets with other dogs. Once the leash reactivity is under control that should change. (we will throw in a training lesson if you are interested in adopting this boy).
Everyone he meets is his new best friend. When the foster's housekeeper arrives he runs up to her all wiggles. He doesn't bark at strangers walking through the door. He’s a love bug, not a guard dog.
He’s not interested in toys or chewing, except if it’s a pig ear or a bully stick. He loves his people and wants to be near them at all times. He’s crate trained and has progressed with house training - just needs your help with keeping a schedule. He loves his treats, sits when asked, and takes food gently from your hand.
