My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Gnocchi.

Gnocchi was previously adopted from HSEC as a puppy, but was recently returned. Slow to warm to new people, Gnocchi is looking for a patient and understanding forever home that is willing to earn her trust. Here at the facility, Gnocchi has slowly come out of her shell, showing us that with time and effort, she will start to show us her true personality. Gnocchi is strikingly unique with her white fur, with small spotted areas or black, grey, or even tan. This gorgeous girl cannot wait to find her forever home, could that be you?

Gnocchi is not yet house trained, and we have not been able to see if she is crate trained yet. Gnocchi is still gaining confidence on the leash.

Our adoption fee for dogs is $200.00. This fee includes spaying/neutering, up to date on vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and consistent heartworm and flea prevention before leaving the facility.

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website hsecarolina.org where you will find our adoption application. Please fill it out and submit, and once your application is reviewed, someone will reach out to you to set up an appointment.

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina's mission is to serve as a safe haven for homeless and neglected pets and act as a resource to the community. By educating the public about issues pertaining to animals, we feel that we can work towards the elimination of over breeding of dogs and cats and teach owners to be responsible pet owners. At the same time, we hope to facilitate adoption of pets to good homes so that we can allow more unwanted animals to find a temporary home with us.
