My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kirby is a very sweet but shy guy. He's working hard on being brave, but he's still a work in progress. Kirby is a 1 1/2 year old neutered black and white terrier mix. He gets along well with other dogs and even cats, but he is very, very jumpy and untrusting of humans. He is startled by any noise or sudden movement. He needs a lot of TLC and it will require a lot of patience to earn his trust. Kirby needs to be convinced that all humans aren't bad and that he does deserve to be loved. Kirby has a lot of love to give and he will, when he finds that special person or family who can provide him with a loving, forever home. Kirby does great with kids - there is a neighbor boy who comes over to play with Kirby and he does really well with him. It's adults that must have hurt him, and it's adults that he is nervous around. Kirby takes time to warm up, but he is a very sweet, loving dog.
