Dolly is a 2 1/2 year old Rottweiler (maybe a mix?). She is a beautiful girl, but she doesn't know it. You see, for the first 2 years of Dolly's life, she was chained up outside someone's house. Finally, those people brought her to a shelter, explaining that they 'just couldn't do anything with her.' Like they tried. We know better. Dolly came to the shelter scared to death. She huddled near the ground, she trembled, sure someone was going to scream at her or beat her. But that was in April. Since then Dolly was pulled from the shelter. First, she was boarded at our vet's office- we just didn't want her at the shelter anymore because she wasn't getting any better there. Now, she is in foster care with a trainer who is working with her, slowly gaining her trust and helping Dolly be the proud, strong dog that a dog of her breed should be. Dolly is a beautiful girl with a beautiful soul that has been wounded, but it's still there, and it's still strong. Dolly needs a special family, a family that understand what she has been through and is willing to give her all the time and space she needs to come out of her shell. To set up an appointment to meet Dolly, please email recycleddoggies@gmail.com and we will connect you with Dolly's foster mom.
