My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chance: The Hug-Giving Hero Awaiting His Forever Home!

Hey there, I'm Chance, and everyone says I'm the best boy around. Giving hugs is my superpower, and it brings so much happiness to my friends here. Right now, I'm in a foster home, but I'm on a quest to find a forever family who'll love me endlessly.

Hug Specialist: Spreading Joy, One Hug at a Time
Hugs are my thing, and I'm pretty good at it! There's nothing quite like seeing smiles light up when I share my special brand of love.

Looking for a Solo Spotlight: The Center of Attention
I'm the type who loves to bask in the limelight, so I'm hoping to find a home where I can be the one and only furry friend. I promise to fill your life with all the love and attention you could ever want.

A Survivor's Tale: Triumph Over Heartworms
I've faced some tough battles in my past, including heartworms. But guess what? I fought hard and won! Though it left me with some heart issues, I'm a champ and take my medication like a pro. And don't worry, there's help available to cover part of the medication cost.

Ready for My Forever Family: Let's Make Memories
Now that I've overcome those challenges, I'm more than ready to embark on new adventures with you. Whether it's snuggling on the couch, going for walks, or just sharing life's simple pleasures, I'm your go-to companion.

If you're seeking a loyal, loving friend who'll be by your side through thick and thin, I'm here and eager to become a part of your family. Let's make memories together – it's a chance you won't want to miss!

Additional adoption info

Find the pet for you at the Adoption Center:
Angels of Assisi’s adoption center is open from 12-6pm, 7 days a week. Adoption Specialists and Volunteer Ambassadors are eager to help you find the pet that would fit best in your family.

Adoptable Pets in Foster Homes:
Some of our available pets are currently in foster homes. If an animal is currently in a foster home, it is noted in the animal's biography online. To meet a pet in foster care, please fill out a non-binding adoption application, and the foster parent will contact you to schedule a meet and greet once the application has been approved (generally within 24 hours).

Found the perfect addition to your family? Now what?
The next step is to fill out an adoption application. You can complete and application online (preferred) or stop by the adoption center to fill out a paper application. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older. If you rent your home, we will need to contact your landlord or see a copy of your lease to verify the pet policy. Most applications can be approved within 24-48 hours.

Taking Your New Pet Home
After paying the adoption fee and pending the approval of your application, you may take your new pet home immediately. Adoption fees may vary and can be found on our website at:
