Meet Bessie, the sunshine-loving sweetheart who's ready to brighten up your world! She is a 5-year-old Pit Bull mix that weighs 50 pounds and is in search of her forever home. We can't wait to introduce you to this bundle of joy! Bessie is an energetic and lovable girl who thrives in the warmth of the sun. While she may be a bit shy initially, a few tasty treats are all it takes to win her heart. Bessie is a fan of outdoor adventures, whether it's going for walks, playing with her beloved toys, or simply lounging on her comfy dog bed. All of our adoptable animals are up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, de-flea and microchipped before adoptions are finalized. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability.

They will review our adoption process, answer any questions, and tell you more about the animals currently available for adoption at our shelter and in our foster program. Senior to Senior Program: For adopters age 60 or older, adoption fees are reduced to $15 if the animal is 3 years or older. This service is made possible through the Pets for the Elderly Foundation. You will be asked to provide proof of age.
Veteran Pet Program: Veterans and active military personnel receive 25% off of adoption fees. Valid military ID is required.
