RUE is approximately one year old and came to us when her owner could no longer care for her. Rue was terrified when she arrived and would strike out through the bars of her quarantine cage. It took us a while to win her over. She is now very affectionate with the volunteers but her new family should expect a similar decompression time. Typical to Calicos, she has a short fuse, so would not be the best match for a family with young children. Older children who understand “catitude” should be fine. Rue does not mind the small dogs who also inhabit our cat room. She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/leukemia and microchipped. Adoption $75. Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org if you’re interested in adding Rue to your family.
