Meet Xena, our very own warrior princess!

Xena was one of 30 dogs rescued by the request of the New York City Police Department after she was found living in poor, overcrowded living conditions in Brooklyn. After receiving the behavioral and medical treatment in April 2022, she is looking for a home to call her own. Xena seems to already be ready for life in a furever home – she is housebroken, does not resource guard and happy to greet any and all tall hoomans alike (she has not yet met little hoomans so we would recommend a proper introduction when meeting children). Her favorite game to play is tug of war with her ropes and she loves to chew on her Nylabones.

Xena would do best in a home with a yard with an active family. She is energetic and would thrive in an environment where she can play with other dogs or walk every day to get her zoomies out! Additionally, she is still learning her leash manners and needs a patient teacher to call her pawrent. In return, she’ll share her roo-roos with you when she wants food or love and her favorite treats – ice cubes.
