My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Butterscotch.
I am estimated to be about a year old and I am EXTREMELY sweet! I love attention and I have a strong purrbox to prove it! I do well with other cats and seem to do well with dogs.
Let's talk about my story a little bit.
I was found on a trail. I was super affectionate and my Finder realized I had a huge growth in my ear! She reached out to LKCI and was told the most they could do is TNR me.
That was until they met me of course, and saw how bad the growth in my ear was.
I am so sweet and all I want is to spend time with my people and snuggle!
We're not sure if the growth in my ear will come back. There's a chance it will come back and a chance it won't. I may also have recurring ear infections in that ear, so keeping it clean and happy is very important!
I am spayed, vaccinated, felv/fiv negative, and will be microchipped prior to leaving!
Located in north central Florida, but transport throughout Florida is available for adoptions!

More about this rescue

We are a small cat based rescue in chiefland, FL however we take in urgent dogs as well when needed. When I moved back to Florida from Michigan last year I was quickly reminded of how different it is here. The strays running wild everywhere, people abandoning their animals, adopting out sick cats, not helping the hurt ones. It breaks my heart. I have the finances to help now, so I'm doing everything I can to give these cats the life they deserved the first time around.
