Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kovu is a 2 year old Husky
Estimated weight to be 60 lbs
This beautiful blue-eyed boy with the foxlike tail and magnificent coat, will make any one look twice. His Thick coat consists of multiple layers (double coat) and it does shed though out the year.
He looks so graceful that you may think he is not powerful but trust me he has high stamina and strength.
Kovu is also very playful.
Kovu is highly intelligent. He comes across as simpleton but it’s only an act. Behind his silly, happy go lucky personality is a dog that can outsmart most humans.
You don’t need to be active person to be Kovh’s human, you just need to know how to entertain, exercise and contain him properly.
Kovu loves the cool weather. When it’s hot outside he rather be inside with the air conditioner set at around 64. Sweet, friendly, and full of love, he welcomes anyone I. His home, so definitely not a guard dog.
Kovu likes other dogs. He does tend to come on strong at first but once he gets to know another dog well, he does very well playing.
Kovu has a history of escaping (hints the reason he had to be rehomed) with a high risk of escaping we recommend having a trainer on board to learn how to keep
Him properly contained.
His prey drive makes sharing a home with cats, livestock not an option.
Older kids can spend hours playing outside with kovu to work off some of his excess energy but Toddlers and other small children should be supervised when playing with Kovu as he can sometimes be a little clumsy which could lead to accidents when he knock them over, and trust me he will.
Positive reinforcement training works well, Yelling or shouting him can interfere with your bond and make him not trust you.
Kovu is neutered, microchipped m, up to date on vaccinations, house broken, crate trained & just a fun loving guy.
Experience with the breed preferred but not required.
