Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rex is coming back to rescue due to no fault of his own. He’s almost two years old (born July 1, 2021). And at 72 lbs, he’s basically just a big toddler!
Rex is a very loving dog, but very high energy. Unfortunately, this energy was a bit too much for the senior female dog in his previous home. While he is very submissive, he does have a more rough-and-tumble play style. He enjoys having most of the attention, and will pout in jealousy when he isn’t the favorite. He is great at telling you exactly what he wants, from food and attention to time outside. But at the end of the day, he just needs lots of love!
Rex is looking for a forever home up for training and consistency. He has been known to jump on new people, and when he wants to play he will nibble on your clothes, bark, and jump - very demanding. Having someone willing to work with a high-drive dog and show him what is acceptable is crucial to his success in his foster or forever home!
Rex is very smart and very food driven. Once he calms down, he walks well on a leash, and loves to say hi to everyone. He would make a great hiking companion for an active person or family! A tired dog is a happy dog, and finding someone with energy or space to tire him out would help him greatly!
Rex is looking for both a foster and adopter. He has a partial sponsorship for his adoption fee, so his adoption fee is $125. You can apply to adopt through the link in our bio!
Interested in fostering? Check out our foster page through the link in our bio! Fostering is completely free, all we ask is Rex come to adoption events when possible, and you give him lots of love at home!
