Oliver was found in the orchards near Arvin, injured and emaciated with a throat full of foxtails. He was initially fear-aggressive towards other dogs. He has been with us for a year and oh what a different dog he is! He has gone from 25 to 65 lbs, loves snuggles, short walks, and just hanging out with people. He is now housed close to other dogs without issue and has done well with supervised group walks and playtime. Oliver makes us laugh everyday with his stoic stares and dramatic sad face when returned to his kennel. He is such a sweetheart and tries really hard to be a good boy.
Because of his past trauma and breed-specific behavior tendencies, we are recommending Oliver only be adopted to someone familiar with the breed. We hope he finds his lifelong best friend soon!
