Meet Lionel!

Background: Lionel is a beautiful, 11-month-old, long-haired Tabby possibly mixed with Norwegian Forest Cat. The long hair under his cheeks is a giveaway for that! This guy was living with an elderly lady in her home. Unfortunately the lady fell ill and could not come back to her home and so there was no one to care for lionel. He was alone for a very long time except for a neighbor who came to feed him. This loneliness made him very terrified and shy around people. However The TNR Project came in and decided to give him a chance! Turns out he is a very sweet boy with a gentle disposition.
We are seeing his personality slowly blossom but we know he loves being petted! He's still a young cat, his self-confidence is slowly growing and it's just a matter of time, patience, and opportunity for him to show how playful he can be. We want him to have a chance at his own space and toys to enjoy what's left of his kittenhood with a wonderful family. He seems to be very interested in other cats and we know he does well with them. Being around another kitty would definitely help bring him out of his shell faster.
