Sofie (FLORIDA)
Sofie is a sweet Yorkie girl weighing 8 pounds. She is 1-2 years old and is being fostered in Clearwater, FL. Sofie is a puppy mill survivor from Ft. Myers during Hurricane Ian. Due to Sofie's special situation she must be adopted within 150 miles of Clearwater, Florida. Sofie's emotional state is an area of growth. Sofie has let us know she likes men over women. Women appear to scare her. We speculate that she was likely abused by a woman while she was in the puppy mill. She allows her foster dad to pet her but not foster mom. She is terrified of a crate, harness, and leash. She doesn't like people behind her.

Requirements for Sofie's forever home:
* She cannot be crated.
* She loves the fenced back yard so she must have a yard.
* We have taught her to wear a harness but she does not like anyone walking behind her.
* The most important thing for the perfect family for her will be patience. It will take time for her to trust.
* Due to my past experiences I must be adopted to a household where all the children are over the age of 12.
