MEET KODA #2!!

He is a sweet, loving boy who is shy at first. He loves to play fetch and go for walks and hikes.  He is scared of loud noises and the wind. On a windy day, he snuggles up under my desk and sleeps on his human's feet. His favorite spot to lay during the day, besides in the grass, is in the sun by the window. Koda has graduated from a certified obedience training class, and he loves to learn and please (and receive treats!). He is able to sit, stay, wait (for food, treats, or us), lay down, leave it (with food, sticks, other little toys, etc..), and walks well on the leash. He tends to pull a little in the beginning, and as he gets in sync with the stride, he does a great job.

He also LOVES to go for car rides, even if it is just a short trip. We have taken him hiking as well, and he does great. Though he is part lab, he is not a fan of the water, though! He has needed some assistance across streams! He waits on his mat until we tell him, "Okay," when he is fed. He goes over there as soon as we pick up his food dish. After a walk, he just flops down on the cool tile. He has a distinct SIGH noise he makes as he is totally at peace and resting. He is always up for a good tummy rub! Koda has been on a Wellness plan through Banfield Pet Hospital. He is up to date with all of his shots, wellness check-ups, and heartworm medication. He has continually had his teeth cleaned, and he has been microchipped.

Koda is a reactive dog due to his anxiety, and he SHOULD NOT be with cats or children. As mentioned before, he is trainable and loves to please. We have successfully introduced him to other dogs, though he should be supervised with them.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

Go meet their pets

We attend multiple adoption events throughout the valley during Spring and Fall.
