My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome boy was surrendered to us because his owner was moving and couldn't/wouldn't take him with them. Sadly, this happens a lot. Can you imagine? Growing up with your family, only to be left behind?

Steven is a sweet boy, but a bit of a nibbler. For this reason, we’ve deemed him to be a sanctuary kitty. Would you please consider sponsoring Steven?

The average cost of care for one resident at ARC is $1000 annually, but ANY amount goes a long way towards helping provide for them. Won’t you please consider helping Steven by sponsoring him.  Your sponsorship will help with the cost of staff to care for him, medical attention, food, toys, etc.  You can make a HUGE difference in his life! Please consider sponsoring Steven today.

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
