Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER TO ADOPT HOME NEEDED
Lala is an around eleven year old Chihuahua mix. Although found as a stray, the reality is that at one time she had a family, or maybe a few. Lala presents as weary and is slow to seek out attention, but shows those glimpses of desperately wanting love. Initially, Lala shows some separation anxiety, until she gets use to her new environment. She seems to be desperate not to be left alone but doesn’t know how to enjoy the company of people. Lala is calm, quiet and pulls on your heartstrings. She is fine with other calm dogs and cats but hasn’t shown any interest in being a playmate.
Along with all this sadness involved with her emotionally, she also has things going on with her medically. She is heartworm positive, has a mild heart murmur, mammary tumors, dental concerns and severe arthritis. So medically, she has a bit of a road to travel but has hit that road running like a champ and her future already looks healthier.
We can only guess that Lala’s life was void of any soft companionship from a person, and just existing around them was her world. WELL BUMP THAT!!!!! We are looking for a family that will show Lala that there IS something better out there. Lala is in a temporary foster where she has started showing attention seeking behaviors, but there are several dogs in the home and she needs more one on one attention. We believe with more focus on her she will begin to blossom. We are seeking someone interested in fostering with the intent to adopt so that she never has to move to another home again. In addition, her family will need to be willing to support her through her medical healing. We know that this baby will not be a match for every family but we also know that Lala’s “heart” family is out there and will take her in with all the love and support that she needs to leave her old life behind her.
