My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ozzie! This lovable Labrador/Border Collie mix is an absolute sweetheart. Despite being 8 years old, Ozzie has an energetic spirit and adores the company of other dogs, making him the perfect companion for a home with another furry friend. Surprisingly, he's also quite fond of cats! Ozzie's affectionate nature extends to humans of all sizes, showcasing his friendly and gentle disposition.

However, Ozzie has struggled with storm phobia, a fear that has impacted his life significantly. Currently under the care of our trainer, Ozzie is undergoing sessions to overcome this fear and understand that he's safe during storms. Regular exercise plays a crucial role in managing his anxiety and channeling his excess energy positively.

We're committed to ensuring Ozzie finds the right home that can support him through his fear of storms. Coordinating meetings between potential adopters and our trainer will help set Ozzie up for success in his new environment. His primary need during storms is to be with his person or in a daycare setting where he feels safe and secure.

If you're interested in providing a loving home to Ozzie during his senior years, please consider filling out our application. With the right support and care, Ozzie is sure to thrive and bring immense joy to his forever family. He's truly a remarkable boy!

Go meet their pets

Scout's Honor Rescue does not currently have its own facility to keep the animals in its adoption program. All animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the dog or cat at their residence until it is adopted. Consider opening your home to a dog or cat in need. You become the caregiver to a precious animal – their future is in your hands! It is incredibly rewarding to know that you have given that animal the two most precious gifts- Life and Love. For many of them, this is the first kind hand they have known.
