Looking for the perfect combo of running partner and couch snuggle buddy? Then Jenni is your girl! This petite lady is full of energy and smiles - always ready to go on walks, play tug, fetch tennis balls or wrestle with her foster dog brothers. But, she also enjoys a good lazy day too. One of her favorite pastimes is to spend the night burrowed under blankets next to her foster parents on the couch.
Jenni didn’t have the easiest start to life, but she settled into her foster home almost instantly, already knowing to use the backyard for potty and having no problem staying home alone. She’s content to hang in a crate or on the couch while her family is gone. This girl is super smart, easily picking up all the skills her family is teaching her, including leash manners! Once she gets to know you and considers you a friend, Jenni is nothing but wiggles and face kisses. As long as she has a little time to learn they aren’t scary, she’s ready to be besties with anyone and everyone.
She adores her two foster brothers and has done well with all types of dogs. She would love a well-matched dog sibling who’s ready to spend the day wrestling and cuddling. Because of her energy, Jenni requests any human siblings be on the older side, please.
This spunky, sweet, hilarious little lady is ready for her forever home. She promises to give you a lifetime of laughs and cuddles in exchange for tennis balls, soft beds and lots of snacks.

Our shelter has more than 500 available cats and dogs every day! For pets at the shelter: Adoptions must be completed in-person at the shelter. AAC is open for adoption walk-ins every day from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. A shelter pet’s availability can change at any time, so we recommend choosing a few favorites. For pets in foster: Go to www.AustinAnimalCenter.org to find the pet's profile and click that pet's pink “Adopt Me” button. This will prompt you to complete an adoption questionnaire. Submitting an application does not hold the animal for you.
We have dozens of animals that won't be listed online yet because they're still in their stray hold period, but can be pre-adopted at the shelter in case their owner doesn't come for them.
Adoption Fees:
$80 cats & kittens up to 6 years old
$80 dogs 6 months to 6 years, 30 lbs and up
$100 dogs under 30 lbs and/or under 6 months
$30 small animals
No fee for senior pets 7 years and older
