My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOCATION: Carbon Hill, Alabama
DOB: 03/09/2020 (Estimate)

Introducing Blaze, a handsome fawn mastiff mix whose golden heart and intelligent mind make him the perfect addition to any family. He’s a cuddlebug of epic proportions, ready to snuggle his way into your life.

Here’s what makes Blaze special:

- He’s a quick learner, knowing his basic commands and eager to please.
- His energetic personality means he’s always up for a run, a playful romp with toys, or a joyride in the
car.
- Blaze is looking for a home where he can stretch his legs and have a furry playmate to share in his
adventures.

A few things to note about Blaze:

- His high prey drive suggests a home without cats or farm animals would be best.
- He’s a social butterfly with other dogs, greeting both males and females with friendly enthusiasm.

Blaze’s skills include:

- Being crate trained, walking nicely on a leash, and responding well when called.
- Although he gets excited at times, he’s learning to focus his energy positively with a little guidance
and training.

Blaze’s past may have had its challenges, but he’s turned a new leaf and is ready for a future filled with love and loyalty. He’s on the lookout for someone who will cherish his unique personality and provide the patience and security he craves.

Are you ready to meet Blaze? He’s not just looking for a home; he’s looking for a hero. Someone who will stand by him, understand him, and join him on a journey filled with love, laughter, and endless cuddles. Let Blaze light up your life with his unwavering companionship and become a blaze of glory in your heart.

More about this rescue

To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.

To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.

We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
