Bosco is a sweet boy that might do best in home with no other dogs.
- energetic and playful so needs an active home with space or time to help wear out his energy -needs to be the only dog. Loves attention - loves his food and treats so very motivated and easy to train - wants to please and can be a little Velcro dog to his person -very affectionate. Loves to give hugs and meanful kisses. -He loves to snuggle on the couch. If allowed In bed he is great because he doesn’t really move much. -loves to chew any kind of bone or chew toy. Stuffed toys he will play with and have shred parties but he is a good boy and doesn’t eat what he shreds. -Loves to go on walks. Is good when worked with and may pull here and here when he really wants to go somewhere. He’s quite strong. Best to keep him from other dogs on walks. -he loves to run and have the zoomies! - he is great in the car - probably too energetic and powerful for young kids - loves taking trips to stores where dogs are allowed. Can be shy sometimes with strangers but usually likes meeting new people. - Not a big barker - knows quite a few basic commands/tricks and willing to learn more. - he loves his people with all of his heart

Lakeland Animal Shelter is centrally located three miles south of Elkhorn, WI. on highway 67, and it is the only animal shelter in Walworth County. Its doors are open to the public six days a week except on legal holidays. The shelter is staffed by dedicated and trained employees. Volunteers also play a crucial role in meeting many of the shelter's special care needs.
Provide temporary care for stray, abandoned and unwanted animals.
Own and operate a rescue vehicle to pick up stray pets from municipal holding areas and private citizens.
Respond to injured animal emergencies 24 hours a day.
Employ a humane Officer to investigate cruelty and abuse complaints.
Maintain records on lost and found pets
Have available humane live traps for animals requiring capture.
Seek good homes for pet adoptions.
Provide a resource library.
