Roscoe is a 9 year old 11lb Chihuahua mix. He is definitely a lover, not a fighter, the sweetest boy ever. Roscoe is blind, but he doesn’t let his blindness slow him down. He has probably been blind most of his life as he acclimated quickly in his foster home and manages familiar environments with ease. When he’s unsure, he stops and drops in place. Roscoe sleeps a lot and has someone home often so he is not currently crated, but is restricted to a couple of rooms for his protection. He lives with several other dogs with no issues with the exception of an occasional snafu when one of the other dogs lays down in his normal pathway. Roscoe handles the snafu well, but he sometimes receives a growl from the other dog. Roscoe is both independent and a cuddle bug. He’ll sleep in his bed or your lap. He knows when he’s left alone and sometimes cries out when he knows you’re in another room, but settles quickly. He does mark so a belly band is a must unless he can be taken out often. Roscoe would be best with someone home often or another calm dog to keep him company. He hasn’t been around cats in his foster home, but he’s a very chill dog so it shouldn’t be a problem. A home with a secure fence and without a lot of obstacles or a pool would be best, but he would be great in an apartment as well as he rarely barks. If you can give a home to this special pup, please submit an application so we can set up a meet and greet.
