My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Oogie Boogie CinnaRoll, affectionately known as "Cinn," who has been waiting for a forever home since September 6, 2022—over 370 days in rescue care, hoping for a chance to find a loving family.

Cinn is a curious, adventurous ball python who measures about 2.5 feet long with a 5-inch circumference. Though a little shy at first, once Cinn warms up, they become a lively explorer, always eager to check out their surroundings. Because of this curiosity, Cinn needs a secure habitat—locks are a must, as they've been known to attempt the occasional escape!

Cinn is a healthy, young snake with a big appetite and a love for evening adventures. As a nocturnal creature, Cinn spends most of the day snoozing in their hide, but come evening, they’re ready to socialize and explore. The rescue has seen this sweet snake’s personality shine once they’ve had time to adjust, becoming happy and curious in their new surroundings.

Despite being on the smaller side now, Cinn is still growing and could reach up to 5 feet in length. With the right care—including a secure habitat, proper diet, and the ideal balance of temperature and humidity—Cinn could live a long, healthy life of up to 30 to 40 years. Don't worry, the rescue has all the information you will need to prepare for Cinns arrival.

Cinn was found as a stray and has been in rescue care ever since, waiting patiently for someone to take them home. Could you be the one to finally offer Cinn the forever home they’ve been waiting for?

More about this rescue

Small Breed Rescue of Southern California is an all-volunteer, non-profit, foster based organization funded by donations. We are dedicated to rescuing small breed dogs, small reptiles and select exotic pets primarily from public shelters and other rescues. Being committed to keeping administrative expenses low, virtually every dollar received goes directly to the care of the animals.

Our rescue is uniquely structured to rehabilitate animals who are at high risk of euthanasia due to manageable behavioral challenges, such as dogs who are declining in a shelter environment or reptiles / exotics that have not been properly handled over their lifetime. We develop relationships to accommodate these specific assistance needs, which is what differentiates us from other rescue organizations.

We have assembled a foster team that consists of experienced individuals who bring particular skills from the animal welfare industry. This enables us to grow, educate and enrich our foster community in a manner that supports our specific needs and those of our animals.

Our group remains interested in and committed to the welfare of the animals beyond the adoption process by providing education, training tips, resource references, and an open door policy to our adopters.
