My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

AVA

I'm just a young girl with the most striking topaz eyes, and beautiful red coat. I prefer to be with women, because men can make me somewhat nervous. It may take me time to warm up to you, but once I do, I promise you will have a friend for life.

I am currently working with a trainer to help build my confidence, and let my lovely personality shine. As for my heritage, well I'm part Husky, so I'll need a secure fenced yard and due to my shyness no children please.

DOB 12/27/2020 53 pounds

I'm waiting for a home to call my own. email webmaster@petrefuge.com to learn more about me or fill out an application at https://www.petrefuge.com/adopt

Pet Refuge was formed in 1978 to help with cats and dogs in need of homes. We are a limited admission shelter that supports our local animals control facilities by helping take in the overflow of cats and dogs from their facilities. We also take in owner surrenders as space allows.

Pet Refuge is a volunteer based shelter, learn more about us on our website - petrefuge.com or send an email to webmaster@petrefuge.com or leave a message at 574-231-1122.

We are always recruiting new volunteers. Our volunteers work hard and also have family and jobs away from Pet Refuge, we ask for your patience in correspondence.
