Wicca is an incredibly sweet and affectionate cat. She has beautiful silver-grey fur and very intelligent eyes. She is good natured and full of joy! She loves to play and is really adorable when she gets the zoomies since she is a bit plump and can sometimes slip and slide on the hardwood floors. She is not fussy about food and will always come running if food is being offered!
Wicca was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Quebec and placed in a TCR foster home for socialization. At first, since she was not used to being touched, she would bolt when approached and hiss if she saw a hand near her. But within a few weeks she realized that she was in a safe place and now she loves being petted and purrs easily. Occasionally she may run away when approached but usually doesn’t and will even come when called. She is not a fan of being picked up though.
Wicca is good with other cats and dogs, as long as they are friendly with her. She would benefit from being adopted into a home with another friendly cat that would help her become completely social, but she is also OK to be adopted on her own. Since we do not know her background other than that she was a stray we recommend no small children - older children that are experienced with cats are OK.
Wicca will sleep on a chair close by, but she has still not ventured onto the couch with her foster family. She is not timid, but she is very cautious about all new things. If she comes across anything new on her path, like a pair of flip-flops on the floor, she will approach it with extreme caution, tapping it a few times to make sure it’s safe!
Wicca is a very good-natured girl that just needs a patient adopter to help her become totally comfortable on her socialization journey.
