It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.


The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat!



NOJIKO was saved by an independent rescuer back in late 2020. She was a tiny kitten. The lady was killed by a drunk driver. We were asked to help with her rescues and to our dismay, her house was a horrific hoarding case. We pulled 55 cats that were still alive. Our rescue took 26 of those cats into out rescue. NOJIKO is now ready for adoption.


Meet NOJIKO, a spirited three-year-old tuxedo cat from Lucerne Valley, California, whose sass and charm will keep you on your toes in the best possible way! NOJIKO is a cat with a big personality and a lot to say. She’s known to chat with her humans, whether it’s a meow to remind you it’s dinner time or a chirp to announce she’s ready for some playtime. Her black-and-white tuxedo coat is as striking as her personality—sleek, soft, and perfectly accented with her bright eyes that seem to sparkle with her mischievous nature.


NOJIKO is sweet in her own way, but she’s also a gal who knows exactly what she wants. She absolutely adores being petted—but only when she says it’s time. And when it’s pet time, you’ll know it! She’ll happily nuzzle up next to you, purring away as she enjoys some well-earned attention. However, if you’re thinking of scooping her up for a cuddle, think again! NOJIKO is not a fan of being picked up—she prefers to keep all four paws on the ground, thank you very much.


When she’s not soaking up attention, you’ll find her indulging her playful side. NOJIKO loves to bat around toys and dart across the room, showing off her agility and playful energy. She’s the kind of cat who enjoys a good chase, whether it’s after a feather toy or a stray string dangling from your sweater.

NOJIKO is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TUXEDO MIX. She is about 3 years and 10 months old. She has lived with cats but needs proper introduction. She has lived with dogs. She has never been around children.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

3. Submit Online Application
4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview
5. Will be notified of Approved Application
6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)
7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
8. Sign Adoption Contract
9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
10. Take the Kitty Home

SEPTEMBER 2024: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.


Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 4 pm - 9 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability.

The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.


Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.


We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
