Scooter is a year-and-a-half old male who was rescued
from a feral colony. He had been extremely friendly to the
feeder and she noted that he seemed extremely lethargic and
was having trouble moving around. He was taken to be
examined at a vet where they diagnosed a grade 5 heart
murmur. He is now on medication and doing quite well on it,
but the prognosis is not known. The heart murmur does not
seem to slow him down as he enjoys playing, cuddles with
some of the other cats in the foster home, enjoys being on
Foster Mom's lap and is generally a very sweet kitty. One of
his favorite places is to be perched in the cat tree so he can
see out the window and take a snooze. His medications run
approximately $50 a month and have maintained his stability.
Another consideration is that he would need a cardiogram on
a yearly basis to assess the status of his heart. TO LEARN
