Noble Nala is looking for her forever family, and wants her new people to know these 10 things about her:
1) I am about 4 years old. Even though I’m not quite sure what breed I am, everyone agrees that I am a beautiful girl, inside and out.
2) My life before rescue was awful. My old family was very mean to me, and they only kept me around to make puppies. As soon as I outlived my usefulness, they dumped me in the woods and I was eventually picked up by the local animal control. Even though I was super scared and shy at first, the workers at the shelter could see what a good girl I was, and they let me stay until The Bullpen had a spot for me.
3) Despite my previous experiences, I am now learning that humans are nice and that I can trust them. I still get nervous occasionally, but the people at the sanctuary are very patient, and every day I come out of my shell a bit more. Sometimes I even get a little brave and approach them for attention and petting!
4) I think I would do well in a home with children over 12, as long as they weren’t too loud or rambunctious and had some previous experience/training with big dogs.
5) I made friends with another Bullpen resident and we are currently co-habitating. If my new family had a large male dog for me to hang out with, I’m sure we would get along great!
6) I haven’t had the opportunity to interact with small or medium sized dogs since coming to rescue, but I feel fairly confident I could live in a home with a dog over 30lbs, as long as we had a slow and proper introduction.
7) I can’t say for sure how I feel about felines, but if my humans have cats and they allowed us to meet slowly and always under supervision, I think we could coexist without issue.
8) The words that best describe me are shy, good-natured, and mellow. My favorite things to do are sunbathing in the yard, palling around outside with my friend Vincent, and taking naps.
9) I am housebroken and crate-trained, and I am pretty good on a leash. I am learning basic obedience and I’ve already mastered the dog door!
10) I am fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, spayed, and microchipped.

We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation.
Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-served basis, but rather we strive for a "perfect placement" so we know that they will not be failed again.
