Here's what the humans have to say about me:

She does love the yard. But walks on leash. Potties as soon as she hits the grass. Uses potty pads too. Sits up like a squirrel for attention. Flattens out and rolls over for belly rubs when you pick her up. Crate trained but does not need to be crated. Loves a snuggly dog bed. And would sleep with you under covers. Burrows like a mole. Loves her people when she gets to know you. Is fussy when dogs get in her face and when she is in your lap. Corrects easily. Leash up before opening door. She can be be speedy.

You are required to sign a legally binding contact on your new pet. As part of that contract, should you no longer be able to keep the animal for any reason, the animal MUST be surrendered back to SAAP. This is to ensure the animal is placed back in foster care while we secure a new approved home for the animal. However, we always try to ensure that the initial placement is best for the pet and your family. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption.

More about this rescue

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are dedicated to the rescue of animals that are in need of a forever home. Our animals are fostered in homes where we provide love, food, medical care and socialization until adoption into a new loving home. We educate on the importance of spaying and neutering of all pets.

We ensure all animals have been spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They are micro-chipped, up to date on shots and on heartworm and anti-flea medications (as age appropriate). They are ready and waiting to start their new life with their fur-ever family. Could that be you?

We need your help to continue our mission. We rely solely on donations and fundraisers. All donations are tax-deductible and 100% of your donation will go towards the rescue, care, and medical needs of the animals.
