My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CHARACTERISTICS
Funny, Curious, Independent, Smart, Protective, Happy, Confident, Daring, Goodnatured, Sweet, Personable, Purring, Talkative, Kingly, Mischievous, Trainable

Meet Dusty: Gray & white chest and toes
If I was on a dating app, my pickup line would be: “I will protect you, but probably eat most of your dinner for you.”

In a human companion, I’m looking for: Lots of scratches and love, but please don’t pick me up. That’s very scary!

Despite my less-than-ideal start in life, I have flourished in FAN's care and now: I'm quite a catch for a good family.

While we hate to limit ourselves, my friend and foster “sister,” Bear are quite the Pair! Check out her profile! I serve as her protector (or partner in crime). Bear was painfully shy and scared when we first arrived. But we are great friends with everyone here now. I also play with Lucy, the goofy little hound, that lives with foster mama.

Foster mama says I am a sweet, well-mannered boy. My favorite pastime is to lay on our cat tree and watch the birds in the big tree outside. I’m very friendly with the other cats, too. I love me some food and treats. Only sometimes I get spooked and run to hide under anything that I can find. I may act hissy-spitty, but I’m all bluster and showing off.

I sometimes play hard to get. I’m a loving cat but independent (I’ll come to you on my own terms). I give Head Bumps, love Rubbing and being Scratched. I’m always Purring, and I can hold a "conversation.”

You may remember my siblings:
Boys Jax, Mango, Ray and Midnight
Girls Mollie and Goldie

All our adoptable cats and kittens are:
— spayed / neutered
— vaccinated (rabies & FVRCP)
— microchipped, if they get lost (and found), they can easily be scanned and reunited with you!
— tested for FIV & FeLV diseases
— parasite-free (dewormer & flea prevention)
— provided additional veterinarian visits, if needed for any health issues
— conveyed to you with all medical records at time of adoption
