Say hello 👋 to Maggie Jean. She’s a purebred German Shepherd. Sh had a mild case of Megaesophagus, also referred to as ME. If you're like many and had never heard of Megaesophagus, here's what it is...Megaesophagus is not a single disease. Instead it is considered a combination disorder in which the esophagus (the tube that carries food and liquid between the mouth and stomach) dilates (gets larger) and loses motility (its ability to move food into the stomach). Maggie’s Megaesophagus seems to be something she is outgrowing. She eats dry kibble from a raised slow feeder and drinks water normally. There seems to be no issues. She’s also enjoy streets between meals now.
Maggie is as sweet and silly as any other puppy her age, only BIGGER! 😳😜

Some other fun things about Maggie is she loves to play fetch, 🎾 and does very good on walks. She’s dog friendly 🦮 but we would not recommend a home with smaller dogs or cats 🐈 because she likes to pounce on them a little too much and doesn’t realize her size. Maggie is not a couch 🛋️ potato 🥔 so you won’t have to worry about a lap dog, she prefers the floor. Maggie knows crate-up and sleeps 💤 great in her crate at night. She’s working on house training.

Maggie loves people and wants to be by your side ar at your feet. Give her a chance and in return she will be a loyal companion and express unconditional love. Is there anything better?
