Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This cute boy is Jax. He is a 3.5 years old purebred Australian Cattledog who weighs around 25 pounds. Max already knows a lot. He knows his basics like sit, stay, and lay down. He also knows how to play dead and shake. Plus, he is house and crate trained. Max is a social guy with people or all ages. Given his breed, we won't place him with small kids, but politebgrade school kids would be fine. He is skittish around other dogs. He would do best as an only dog and would prefer to avoid dog parks. However, he has lived with a calm and respectful dog before so would be just fine doing things like going on walks with other dogs and meeting up from time to time. He just doesn't want to share his people at home. With people, Jax is a ton of fun. He loves to fetch. He would also be an amazing adventure partner. He is good on leash and good in the car. Additionally, he has been rattlesnake trained and has a rattlesnake vaccination. He is even used to wearing dog goggles for hikes/outdoors! Jax is looking for an active home with someone who is prepared to give him the mental stimulation and solid leadership that this kind of dog needs. He can be protective of his owners and also is vocal, so he isn't a fit for an apartment. This guy is a total gem for the right home. He is a ton of awesome in a small package. Jax is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in Redlands, CA. Adopters must be able to meet and adopt here. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.
